Fringe

Damn you Fringe. There are two opposing viewpoints in our household. Series television versus shows that you can just watch and not need to have seen 100 previous seasons to know what the F is going on. My problem is that once I get invested in a show I really want to finish it out, even if I do not like the direction that the plot is going. Case in point – Fringe. Loved the beginning, but much like LOST the more questions were answered, the less I cared. It’s like they just gave it all away. Now I’m on the final season and there is a huge part of the plot that has essentially been “forgotten.” Like an entire universe of characters and plot lines that seem to be on the eternal back burner. What happened to faux-Livia and her kid? What happened to Peter having to choose Olivias? Now we are in this really lame future that they fast forwarded to. Ugh it totally sucks. Yet I’m committed to watching it. Hope it comes together in the end. But this is ultimately why I stick to shows like Cops. You can watch any single episode of Cops and you don’t need to have seen any past episodes. It’s brilliant like that!
